Per la serie "non tutti sanno che", non tutti sanno che Pupi Avati e il suo amico Maurizio Costanzo (si si, proprio lui) un tempo sceneggiavano assieme thriller di gran gusto e qualità. Poi, è storia recente, Avati ha continuato a rimescolare il suo cinema da un genere all'altro con buoni risultati, mentre Costanzo ha recentemente perso ogni credibilità, dedicandosi a show e teatrini di dubbio gusto.
Concentriamoci però su quello che di buono ci è stato lasciato, commentando un thriller rimasto indelebile nella mente degli appassionati per le ambientazioni e le inimitabili atmospheres.
The story is set in the Po valley, where a young restorer is contacted to work on a painting in the village church. The painting is the work of Buono Legnani, questionable local painter famous for painting his subjects in time of death. The task of Stephen, however, will not be easy. The restorer, will clash against the silence of the country, and against someone who does not want that picture is touched. But why?
