scrapbook - Scrapbooking-Scrapbook SCRAP
is formed from two words = scrap piece, fragment, and then book = book indicates a book written with cutouts. Scrapbooking means to make a scrapbook, an album that is made of fragments of different materials (paper, tapes, photos, lace .... etc). And not only, as some believe, of photographs, which I think is a way a bit 'too limited to interpret its meaning.

Un po' di storia ...
Questa tecnica ha origini molto antiche, pare risalga addirittura agli inizi dell'800 quando ebbe inizio la mania di raccogliere foto, ritagli, lettere, poesie in degli appositi quadernetti, i primi "album" di scrapbooking!!! Comunemente si pensa che il Paese d'origine e tutti i successivi sviluppi dello scrap siano da attribuire all' America ma in realtà la sua nascita è avvenuta in Germania e da lì poi gran parte del mondo è stata contagiata!
Per iniziare ...
Lo scopo dello scrapbooking è quello di preservare il ricordo dei momenti indimenticabili. Una pagina scrap che si rispetti dovrà contenere principalmente le fotografie, da tagliare in qualsiasi modo si voglia, magari usando delle apposite mascherine (templates), ed il cosiddetto "journaling", ossia le annotazioni di tutte le sensazioni provate in quel particolare evento, o una poesia che si addice photos, or even the lyrics of a song that reminds us of those moments ... SERENDIPITY
un neologismo coniato dallo scrittore inglese Horace Walpole ed indica lo stato d'animo che ci coglie quando inaspettatamente scopriamo qualcosa di piacevole mentre eravamo intenti a perseguire tutt'altro scopo.....e adesso sorge spontanea la domanda: cosa c'entra tutto ciò con il papercraft?!
