Open Office comprende:

• Writer, elaboratore di testo (equivalente a Word)
• Calc, foglio di calcolo (equivalente ad Excel)
• Draw, disegno vettoriale
• Impress, presentazioni (equivalente di PowerPoint)
• Supporto per la creazione e gestione di Database (anche quelli in Access)

Inoltre è compatibile con i documenti creati con MS Office, quindi può aprire e gestire file realizzati con word, excel, può generare file PDF ed aprirli in lettura, ecc...

Alternatively there are other online tools but not so comprehensive: the best is definitely Docs & Spreadsheets Google , but it is manageable only on-line (advantage / disadvantage: you can access them anywhere you have internet connection but so).
